“Agathla Peak / El Capitan” is my original 2017 oil painting on linen panel, measuring 24x20" (framed to 31x27"). Signed, titled, and dated. This work captures the iconic sunlit spire of Agathla Peak, also known as El Capitan, rising near Kayenta, Arizona. Provenance: shown at the Blue Rain Gallery, Santa Fe.

As an artist, I have been painting professionally for over 35 years. My work has been featured in more than 30 solo shows and numerous group exhibitions. I currently exhibit with the George Billis Gallery in New York and have shown with the David Klein Gallery in Birmingham, MI, and the Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.

My paintings are held in over thirty corporate and museum collections, as well as hundreds of private collections. I live and work in Ferndale, Michigan, with my artist wife Janet Hamrick and our two studio cats, Lockie and Bella. For more than a decade, we have also maintained a painting loft in New York City, while spending extended time painting in the Taos region of New Mexico.
